![]() Ash was born 15th April 1988 and has lived in Northamptonshire all his life. He has a quiet nature, choosing to express himself through his music. He attended Kingswood Secondary School in Corby and enjoys art and listening to his favourite bands. A member of The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers, he is currently studying Music Production and Technology at Northampton College. He is also under the instruction of guitar tutor Richard Beaumont studying advanced music theory, and is putting this knowledge to good use by giving guitar lessons of his own. Ash took up playing the guitar at the age of 9 and cut his first 4-track CD of his own material when he was 14 (see below). At this time he took a job at weekends helping out in a busy kitchen and saved enough money to buy himself his first Gibson, which proved to be a great inspiration so early in his career.
In 2001 he formed the band "Corby" (then named "Axis") who were later taken on by Liberty X manager Richard Hannan and signed to a small London label. As a special present to celebrate this occasion, his older brother Graham, also being an accomplished guitarist, presented Ash with his favourite guitar, the SG, which quickly became Ash's trademark.... he hasn't played any other guitar since. Later, Graham also generously bought Ash his Marshall amp. There's nothing like brotherly love! Ash found himself recording in many studios around the country with experienced producers and songwriters. Some of whom are listed HERE This experience set the seeds for his love of arrangement and production, which he left "Corby" to pursue. He has no contractual obligations at present. A new album of Ash's latest material is well underway, recorded and produced at his studio The Hideout and he's now looking forward to performing the new tracks live in 2007 with his newly-forming band. We'll be posting info on this site where you can get hold of your copy of the CD when it's done along with gig dates and venues. Ash now has a catologue of over 100 songs in various stages of completion and is adding to this constantly, so it looks like the new CD will be the first of many!
